Creativity for a cause. Longchamp's Re-Play styles, first designed in 2021, are made using deadstock fabric from its iconic Le Pliage® line in an effort to raise awareness. Each collection has been a huge success. This isn't a fad or an effort to stay relevant; Longchamp is set on sustainability with a real and lasting commitment.
Launched in 2019, the concept of Longchamp Re-Play is to give the Maison's deadstock fabric a second life. Its materials "library" includes leathers, nylons, silks and more – all used to create a range of products from bags to swimwear. As part of this CSR initiative, Longchamp also supports the finalists of the ANDAM Fashion Awards (of which the Maison has been a partner since 2007), giving them access to its materials library to foster awareness and encourage a greener approach to fashion. The sustainable philosophy of Re-Play emphasises the importance of recycling materials, giving them a useful and environmentally-friendly purpose.
At Longchamp, this idea has been around for a long time. We develop our products with old materials, so avoiding waste is just common sense.
