The Longchamp Art Festival

The Longchamp Art Festival
celebrates art in movement

From 4 to 6 September in Paris.

Since the very beginning, Longchamp has maintained a vibrant relationship with the arts. From leather craftspeople to artists with whom the Maison has partnered for more than 75 years, creation has shaped both its history and world-view in equal measure. Today, this relationship lives on through a new cultural event: the Longchamp Art Festival. From 4 to 6 September 2026, the Galerie Joseph on rue Saint-Merri will host this edition, developed by Sophie Delafontaine, Artistic Director of Longchamp, in collaboration with Olivier Bassuet, Performing Arts Curator, Artistic Director and Producer. Conceived as a gift to the city, the festival invites each visitor to explore, free of charge, an array of visual, design, music, dance, performance and digital arts centred on a common theme: movement.

Creation inspired by movement

For Longchamp, movement transcends the idea of simply going from one place to another. It's the gesture that transforms a material, a perspective that evolves, the creative energy that brings a work to life. This concept has been central to the Maison's identity since 1948. It inspires the expert work of its craftspeople, enriches the collections designed by Sophie Delafontaine and supports the artistic dialogue that Longchamp has been engaged in since its founding.

At the Longchamp Art Festival, movement is a unifying language. Body, light, colour, material, sound and optical illusion: each artist offers their own unique take, inviting the visitor to discover contemporary creation through a new lens. This vision is consistent with the Maison's desire to make art accessible to all and to celebrate different mediums, practices and generations of artists.

A rich programme to explore

A rich programme to explore

For three days, the Longchamp Art Festival will transform Galerie Joseph on rue Saint-Merri into a vibrant space in which different disciplines come together. The event will bring together nearly thirty artists and international designers, with their work unfolding through a programme of exhibitions, performances, concerts, conversations and more.

Throughout the weekend, guided tours will allow attendees to explore the works and the curatorial approach adopted by Sophie Delafontaine and Olivier Bassuet in greater depth. Visitors can also stop for refreshments at the Longchamp Café, the ideal meeting spot. On Friday 4 September, Sophie Delafontaine will open a series of conversations with journalist Géraldine Sarratia, with further discussions with artists, designers and other figures from the cultural world taking place throughout the festival.

Unique perspectives on movement

The programme will bring together a number of artists established as rising stars, each interpreting movement in their own way. Installations by Xavier Veilhan experiment with perception and balance, while Elias Crespin's kinetic sculptures see geometry set slowly in motion. In Fabienne Verdier's paintings, each brushstroke channels bodily energy, while Carlos Cruz-Diez's works use light and colour to explore how our eyes move.

The festival will also showcase a new generation of creators. The landscapes of Valentin Guillon, the sensitive compositions of Caroline Hélain—whose work also appears in the Winter 2026 collection—and even a participatory workshop devised by Damien Poulain reflect the desire to bring disciplines, generations and artistic practices together. The festival will also include dance, music and live painting performances, featuring artists such as Caroline Denervaud, Célia Kameni, Dorion, Koki Nakano, Marie-Agnès Gillot, Marion Barbeau and the We Are One Gospel collective, making it a dynamic, multifaceted experience.

An invitation to discover

Conceived as a creative haven at the heart of Paris, the Longchamp Art Festival celebrates the Maison's enduring inspirations: curiosity, dialogue and being open to others.

"Movement is everywhere. In hands that shape materials. In strokes that strive for the right shape. In creative impulse that transforms ideas into emotions. It's in eyes that meet, disciplines that come together and conversations that emerge."
— Olivier Bassuet, Festival Manifesto

From 4 to 6 September 2026, come explore the works, enjoy the performances and meet the artists at the heart of this celebration of contemporary creation.

Villa Savoye

Longchamp settles in at Villa Savoye

For the Winter 2026 collection, Longchamp takes over an icon of modern architecture. At Villa Savoye, lines, volume and light form the setting for a winter defined by creation.

Villa Savoye: modernity embodied

Built in the late 1920s by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret, Villa Savoye challenges the conventions of traditional living. Sat on pilotis, punctuated by long horizontal windows that allow a glimpse within and topped off by a charming roof terrace, it incorporates Le Corbusier's Five Points of a New Architecture to create an open, radiant and fluid space. From the central ramp to its succession of perspectives, the Villa reveals itself as you move through it, creating something of an "architectural promenade". A radical vision that has become a benchmark of 20th century architecture, where lines, movement and function meld seamlessly into one. This pursuit of fluidity and precision resonates greatly with Longchamp: an appreciation of lines, movement and beauty designed to enrich everyday life.

A backdrop for Winter 2026

This season, the Longchamp woman returns to Paris, making it her playground for creative expression. Inspired by her travels, encounters and emotions, she builds her very own world, where fashion, design, architecture and art converge. Villa Savoye offers a natural backdrop for a winter defined by creativity. Its fluid architecture complements the clean, controlled silhouettes of the collection; its graphic lines echo the generous volumes and curves of the accessories; its modernist spirit resonates with the contrasting materials, light-catching details and pops of colour running through the season. From Le Corbusier's architecture to nods to Verner Panton, Charlotte Perriand and Thomas Heatherwick woven throughout the collection, design becomes a medium for creation. At Villa Savoye, fashion and architecture share a common language: one of shape, gesture and creative freedom. A statement setting for a season that invites us, more than ever before, to find our own unique signature.

Longchamp Winter 2026:

Paris, rediscovered as an atelier of inspiration

Returning home, the Longchamp woman transforms each memory into a new expression of her creativity.

After exploring the world in the first part of the FW26 collection, the Longchamp woman returns to Paris, rediscovering the city with fresh eyes. Every landscape, encounter and emotion experienced on her travels fuels her vivid imagination. More than a return, this is a transformation: memories become materials for creation and discoveries are shaped into gestures, colors and silhouettes. In a city she knows so well, each street, object and everyday detail yields renewed creative energy. Paris becomes her atelier: a place in which her vision takes shape and where she affirms—more than ever before—her signature style.

A world where every detail inspires

With the new "Be Creative" collection, Longchamp celebrates the Parisienne with a fresh perspective on her city. Parisian apartments become spaces for creative expression, where design, architecture, craftsmanship and art come together in modern harmony. The iconic forms of Verner Panton and Charlotte Perriand meet the architectural fluidity of Thomas Heatherwick, whose famous green staircase at La Maison Unique is the inspiration behind a wavy print adorning a coat, a skirt and the Le Pliage travel bag. Gestures, form and balance become the collection's common threads.

At the heart of this world, artist Caroline Hélain brings her unique sensibility through abstract textile landscapes crafted from various materials and colors. Inspired by fragments of memories, her creations echo the Maison's signature savoir-faire and remind us that each detail of everyday life can become a work of art, with each material offering a new form of expression.

When art inspires silhouette

This winter, creativity is expressed equally through form and material. Volumes are fluid, generous and understated, while monochrome comes into its own through contrasting details in patent, crocodile-print leather, suede and nubuck. Textures capture light, play with depth and form silhouettes that are both graphic and tactile. The winter palette blends warm tones of vanilla, caramel, mocha, coffee and burgundy with bold accents of matcha, azure, silver and even orange, punctuated by a vibrant leopard print.

Among the season's signature pieces, the coat inspired by the sculptural lines of Thomas Heatherwick illustrates the coming together of architecture and fashion. Adorned with textile landscapes designed by Caroline Hélain, the Daylong elevates the bag into a canvas for artistic expression. With its gleaming patent leather and sculptural handle, the Le Pliage Xtra brings a decidedly contemporary allure, while the Le Roseau revisits its iconic lines in velvety nubuck or silver-colored mirror-finish leather in the clutch version. The Élan high boots extend this architectural look with sumptuous elegance.

Blending savoir-faire, design and freedom of expression, this new collection invites each of us to see everyday life as a boundless well of ideas and to dive into a world in which creativity flourishes.

Longchamp x Caroline Hélain,
An encounter shaped by creative curiosity

Landscapes become a creative canvas, where art and leather savoir-faire meet

Since the very beginning, Longchamp has maintained a vibrant relationship with contemporary creators. Through Longchamp x Caroline Hélain, the Maison nurtures this bond further by inviting a new artist to join the Be Creative world for its Winter 2026 collection. Bridging art and craftsmanship, this collection celebrates a shared vision of materials, colours and gestures

Staying true to its commitment to female artists, the Maison transforms these unions into spaces for expression, where art feeds craftsmanship and savoir-faire complements contemporary creation.

Longchamp Family:
Enter the world of Caroline Hélain

In a new episode of Longchamp Family, Sophie Delafontaine, Artistic Director of Longchamp, invites us into the studio of Caroline Hélain. Here, she creates alluring textile landscapes, crafted from meticulously cut, assembled and arranged pieces.

At the intersection between figurative and abstract, the artist transforms fragments of memories into intuitive compositions in which colour, texture and depth evoke cliffs, sand dunes and glimpses of the sky. This approach echoes Longchamp's leather savoir-faire: like the fabrics assembled by the artist, leathers and materials interact to reveal their full beauty. This encounter reveals a shared vision of creation, where materials evoke emotion and craftsmanship tells stories.
